| I spoke too soon... When I click in that area I get a current balance only. It does not take into account any items remaining on the list. This is a little better than clicking on the link to "View current balances" that shows balances from multiple accounts. Unfortunately that window cannot remain open while selecting/paying bills from the list. |

| That did the trick...I will use that as a workaround. Thanks! |

| Just had a nice little chat with "Zoe" from Microsoft tech support. The balance not working correctly in Money 2006 is a known issue, but she assured me that Microsoft is working diligently to resolve the issue. Once resolved, an update will become available to correct the problem and help ease our frustration ![]() Shanon IT Innovations – Creators of High Quality Custom-Built Software mail[at]goItInnovations.com "Dave" wrote: - quote - > In Money 2005, the Bills Summary screen contained a balance that would > update based on the selected bill(s). | In Money 2005, the Bills Summary screen contained a balance that would update based on the selected bill(s). In Money 2006, this balance no longer appears. Does anyone know why this may have gone away or how to re-enable it? I am thinking this might have to do with a new feature of Money 2006 ("New! Manage bills easily. Money 2006 Deluxe allows you to pay multiple bills from multiple accounts all at once"). That's nice, but what about folks who pay bills from just one account--say, a checking account? There is a link to "View current balances" that shows balances from multiple accounts (I have no idea if this existed in Money 2005) but this is no replacement for the dynamic balance that existed in Money 2005. In Money 2005, I could select a schedule deposit (i.e., paycheck), select one or more bills, and observe what my checking account balance would be if I entered the bill or bills into the register (prior to actually doing so). This was one of the reasons I switched from my previous strategy which involved Quicken plus an Excel spreadsheet (I would do the what-ifs in Excel, and then enter the actual transactions in Quicken). |
