| Hi, the speed improvements I am experiencing are considerable. It's true that some activities aren't instantaneous but I definitely see an improvement over 2004 which I was using before. | John, Thanks for your info on M2006. I also run M2004 SB. I was wondering if you have encountered any problems with speed as was reported previoulsly. | Thanks for the info. Please let me know if changes to invoice templates sticks or does it revert back to default each time. Also, I guess since you do not download your transactions you do not know if the problem with not being able to apply downloaded credits to invoices still exists. Thanks! | Upgraded to 2006 Small Biz from 2004 Small Biz. Running Dual Core Pentium 4 with 1GB DDR2 memory. The size of my money file is considerable, I have been using Money since 97, upgrading every year. I skipped 2005 mostly because of the vast number of complaints on this board. Please note that except for refreshing stock quotes I operate Money in a totally disconnected fashion. That is, I don't download transactions into Money, I enter them manually then go to my Bank's/Broker's site and reconcile their entries with my own. As for Money 2006, it's important to criticize when criticism is due, but you also need to give credit when credit is due. Money 2006 is a much better all around experience than what I had been using. The money file conversion went without a hitch. The cosmetic aspects of the program are much better, but it also seems to have been retooled to take better advantage of multithreading. The non-responsiveness of the UI when refreshing the home page in 2004 is virtually gone now. I need to dig deeper to see if any of my categories were munged, but didn't notice any outrageous changes to them. Need to re-check the budgeting, but my overall first impression was very positive. |
