| Hi Cal, thanks for the reply I forgot about this post. Anyways, deleting the temp files allowed me to run the msmoney -s and access the file but I still had that same problem. Then I tried doing a backup and it got stuck or something I had to ctrl alt delete. When I came back all my balances showed something like 800 trillian positive or negative and there were some errors ### :X I successfully restored a backup so I'm still back at square one. And that is, the register shows a balance of 1449 and the spot under the discovery logo on the left pane shows my last download (today with no items to review) but a $912.86 balance... which is actually correct according to my statement. |

I am wondering if your latest version of Money is installed> but it says > 'myfile.mny' is corrupted or is not a Money file. Make sure you are opening > a file with a MNY extension. Then open Money with Start-> Run and entering "msmoney -s" without the quotes into the box. ================================================== ======== In Internet Explorer delete your IE6 temporary files with Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles. Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair for good measure. ================================================== ==== |

| I also just tried exporting the discover account to loose qif, then deleting the account, recreating and importing the qif. I then setup online services. It downloaded one transaction of a $300 payment BUT even though it showed it as a credit, it didn't actually register. ie, it didn't take it into account so it was still showing my balance as $300 more then it should have been. Under the discover logo on th left pane, it shows when I last downloaded, the new balance (what it should have been with the $300 payment, even though I just deleted it anyways) and items to review (0) :/ |

| I just tried connecting to discover to update my account and it downloaded to transactions. Under the discover logo it shows when I downloaded the new balance and then 2 items to review. But in the actual register there aren't any new items. I also see in the accounts list that there are 2 transactions to read but when I click that link they still dont show. I tried C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\System\Msmoney.exe" -s to repair but it says 'myfile.mny' is corrupted or is not a Money file. Make sure you are opening a file with a MNY extension. If you have chosen the correct file and it could not be accessed, you will need to open your most recent backup file to access your data. clicking okay puts me at the login screen and I can login just fine. |
