| Unlike Dick, I do a lot of online banking with Money and like that a lot. I use Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe extensively for that purpose and am satisfied. If you have not done so, I suggest you consider online updates, at least. MM04DLX is available for $11 on eBay. Click http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...167289914&rd=1 for an example. A caveat is that online updates on September 1, 2007. Not bad for $11. I recommend that you update to that version. It, like other versions of Microsoft Money, has bugs, but it's significantly faster than 2003, in my recollection. The degree to which the bugs annoy you depends on what functions you use. 2005 is pretty bad, in my opinion. I tried it and dumped it rather quickly after being unable to resolve account duplication and other problems. If you don't use online banking, 2006 is minimally different. If you do, there are improvements. In either case, it's slow. Incredibly slow, compared to 2004, using a data set converted from 2004. The word glacial comes to mind. YMMV. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:%23NsNLGOhFHA.3340[at]TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... - quote - > Many consider me biased. | Many consider me biased. I'd say if you don't do the online thing and can't find M04, then stick with M03. I think you'd have a very hard time finding even one feature in M06 that was more useful to you than what you have in M03. The ONLY one that's coming to mind for me is the comparison reports. But you would find lots of ads and lots of arbitrary zero value add changes and lots and lots of new ways to get you to the ads. What you've read about M05 and M06 seems about right to me. My M05 review is at http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm. Many here disagree but many agree. Who knows what it means? Given M06's pathetic performance with my data in my environment I may never actually update the M05 page for M06. | Hi, I have Money 03 Deluxe. I am not using online updates. Features wise, is it worth to upgrade from 03 to 06 ? I read that 2005 was a total disaster, and that 2006 may be slow. |
