If you click Customize, there should be a Rows&Columns tab. There> Business to track my monthly cashflow. | I frequently use the Monthly Income and Expenses report in Money 2004 Small Business to track my monthly cashflow. The problem is, I couldn't get rid of the Transfer section of the report, which records transfers from one account to another as income or expense, when in fact, I'm just moving money from one account to another. This skews my actual Income less Expense amount at the bottom of the report. For example, I pay my mortgage monthly. The principal payment is being shown as a transfer from my savings account to the mortgage account under the Transfer section and the amount is being deducted from my income. Even when I exclude that mortgage account using Customize -> Account -> Uncheck the mortgage account, it still shows up. Another example is my investment account transactions (buying and selling equities) are showing up under the Transfer section. When I double click the numbers, I couldn't figure out how Money arrives at those figures given the transactions shown. I already have a Capital Gains row under Income section, so it's not clear to me what this is for. I found that excluding the investment account (cash) gets rid of this row, while maintaining the Capital Gains row under the Income section. This is what I wanted but was surprised that the Capital Gains row didn't disappear since it uses this investment account. -Jerry |
