account reconciliation does not show total deposits/checks

I agree that the data they removed helps from time to time and you are
surely not the first person to post complaining about this. But they've
removed it. All that's left is one at a time slogging it out item by item. I
very occasionally have to resort to going down the Money list of
transactions and one-by-one putting check marks on the statement next to the
correct identical amount. Anything from the Money side I can't find on the
statement is suspect. Likewise anything on the statement without the check
mark is suspect as well. Sorry. I wish I has a better answer.

hi dick,

thanks for your quick response.

i feel pretty dumb here. when reconciling from a bank statement, it really
helps to know how close you are for both credits and debits. then i can see
what transactfions may be missing. if the software doesn't show it, then
what alternative process might i use?

i don't really want to switch to quicken!

Help is wrong. This was deleted in M04. Why? Who knows. I think switching to
Quicken over this would be a very rash act.

hi,

this must have been answered before, but i couldn't find it, so here goes.

i've got Money 2004, and now Money 2006 (trial version). all i want to do
is balance a checking account with my bank statement, and i am used to
seeing the total deposits and totals deductions as part of the process. even
the Money help file says it should be in the left pane, but...it is not!
and it is not present in either version. i couldn't find any settings to
change for this.

so, this looks like is a major flaw, can anyone help? i don't reallky want
to switch to Quicken...
