First, I am almost certain that the QIF file format itself has not changed, and probably will not ever change. Second, I see nothing out of the ordinary about the data in the QIF file that I download from Paypal, and Cal Learner confirms no problem importing a Paypal QIF file into Money. Possibly your original post was unintentionally misleading, or just wrong (in which case supplying further info on what you experienced that caused you to think you could no longer use Paypal QIF files might allow others to help you to continue to use downloaded QIF files). Third, in the event you are, for some reason, unable to use QIF files downloaded directly from Paypal, there is a free Excel macro that will convert Excel files to QIF files. You could import comma delimited or tab delimited (or any delimited) files into Excel (so it would not matter which of the non-QIF formats you chose at Paypal), apply the macro, and output a valid QIF file. The macro is named xl2qif and can be found at http://xl2qif.chez.tiscali.fr/links_en.php - quote - > On Fri, 08 Jul 2005 09:21:22 -0500,

| I appreciate folks taking time out to read the question and answer them, but PLEASE read the question carefully before responding. If I was just looking for where to download the history, I would not have bothered posting the original question. Under download history, there are only 5 options for the format of the download. As you can see, there is no option to download to Money. There is an option to download to Quicken, which I used to be able to do, then import the QIF file into Money. Now, I am not sure which one to use. For the fear of messing my account ledgers, I can't decide between tab or comma delimited formate. In Paypal, click History-> DownloadMyHistory.> to Money from Paypal. I used to be able to download the Quicket QIF > file and import that, but they changed that format, so it would not > work with my Money 2004 Deluxe. Can anybody suggest a way to deal with > the issue? |

| For reason unknown there is not even an option to download activities to Money from Paypal. I used to be able to download the Quicket QIF file and import that, but they changed that format, so it would not work with my Money 2004 Deluxe. Can anybody suggest a way to deal with the issue? |
