Default Re: Experian Offer "Already Redeemed"?

My experience is to NEVER download any trial version of Money. Always
buy the CD in a store and always have the hard copy available. Never
rush to the new version. I'd wait till at least August before
installing, or after the product hits Costco for $25 net. Steve

Default Experian Offer "Already Redeemed"?

I just purchased Money Premium 2006 today. One of the decision points in
purchasing is that it included a free one year subscription to Experian
credit reporting service. After installing, I chose "Tools", "Financial
Services", and clicked on "Activate my Credit Monitoring". That takes me out
to the Experian site where I am greeted by this:

"Thank you for your interest in Experian Credit Manager. Unfortunately we
are unable to fulfill your request because the membership offer provided by
Microsoft Money has already been redeemed. "

This strikes me as classic bait-and-switch. As an added side bonus, I
attempted to activate an email support request for the above and was told by
the Active X support applet that it couldn't find my Product ID. Well, I did
a "Help", "About" and typed in the number in the box, and was told that my
Product ID was invalid, despite matching the same format as described in the
example entry.

Anyone have any input as to why the offer is "already redeemed" on the 2nd
day of the product's availability? Anyone else having issues with an invalid
product ID? If it matters, I did update to Premium from an installed 2006
trial. This is after the web download failed (as others threads reported)
just after taking my money. 4 support calls later I finally was able to get
the trial upgraded.

Not exactly a stellar out-of-box experience.
