Yep, it's extremely rare for product group (PG) members of a MS product to
take a look at their respective Community forum. It's up to the products MVP
to try and bridge that gap, just fyi.

You're preaching to a choir. Microsoft is not present here. If they are,
they're in lurk mode.

This really is not good news!! Repeatedly users make positive suggestions for
new releases and so often they are ignored, eg. "inventory". The response
that it has not changed is not very helpful. I know I have previously
suggested that when entereing an item in an account, you should have the
option to tick a box that if checked will update the item into your inventory
and apply a second stage to the transaction rather than entering it twice
into the system. MSM defies the concept of avoiding duplication. Further it
should have the ability to export data from the inventory, and indeed import
it too, say from a spreadsheet. PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN before making a final
release of the package!!!

fyi:
The issue w/ .tmp files accumulating with each backup to floppy has been
fixed.
Related to this, backups, both regular and infrequent, can now be made to
any path that Windows comm dialog understands.

MS Money itself is a huge incontinence.

Depends on what your gripes were. I think many of mine still stand--but most
of them were conceptual in nature. Should Money be a personal finance
management tool or an all show no blow Essential * skin on Yodlee with lots

There has never been a version to version change with such a huge apparent
impact in my environment with my data--including M2k-> M01 which was the
previous record-setter. On my laptop it literally takes almost five minutes
to change from home page to an account, view a transaction, and change back

Look and see. It's back in Tools|Options, err, Settings.

Maybe next year for the mangling categories? (But if you fixed a file for
M05 it doesn't get mangled agains. Just 04 and earlier. It's a feature.) I'm
not sure what you are speaking about re. default category recreation.

Depends on the FIs involved, as it did with M05.

Haven't tested yet. They've reworked backup in other ways--maybe this is
somehow fixed in the mix?

Resolved. No registry key required. It is a setting.

Not there. You can right-click an investment and choose
SeePriceHistory-> UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually, but there is no
shortcut to go right to manual price entry for a selected security
from the portfolio.

By my thinking Money 2006 and 2005 do not require a Passport to do
automatic downloading of transactions from FIs with their own OFX
servers. To my way of thinking, clicking UpdateNow to start the
process does not make it not automatic. If you want it to happen
autonomously, that is something else.

You do not have to have a Passport or a password.

I don't have the symptom you describe, but neither did I see that on
Money 2005.

No rw?.tmp. You can have Money create multiple time-stamped
scheduled backups to your flash drive. You are supposed to be able
to tell it how many such files to keep.

Default Did money 2006 fix most of the bugs/gripes in 2005?

Did money 2006 fix most of the 2005 bugs/gripes people had? Below was my
list from 2005

I want the dual drop down category box again.
Looks like this one may be fixed by the new patch and a reg key. I will
believe it when I see it.

I want update prices manually put back on the right click context menu in
the portfolio manager.
Most of the items in my 401k have no symbols cause of the plan my
company provides. The fact update prices manually has moved is a huge
incontinence.

I want a way to purge all the past budget data.
Money 2004 and I think 2003 had a massive bug that occurred when you
deleted a budget item that caused it to still be calculated even when it was
suppose to be gone. In many cases you got duplicate or triple amounts in
your budget that could not be changed. I would rather purge everything in
the past than have the inaccurate data that is there now taking up space and
serving no use because its wrong. Plus it messes up forecasts.

Import and export for Home Inventory

The categories being automatically moved during upgrade and default category
recreation needs to go away forever!!!!

Allow money to do automatic accounts updates WITHOUT using a passport!!!!!!!
None of my banks require passport. I don't want a passport on my file.

Allow passport password to be saved (like it does now) but add the option to
have it bypass the stupid login screen.
I don't need to click ok to continue and wait for it to connect. just do
it in the background. But honestly no passport is best.

Annoying bugs with manual online update
when you click update now and then click update it pops up that dialog box
that has a check box to hide it but it only stays hid for the current
windows session.
Next time I login its back again with Hide unchecked.

One more thing when you do a backup to a flash card the rw?.tmp firles that
are created need to go away.
