Not all problems occur in all situations. You could similarly note> Yes it is an open beta, however I have installed and tested other apps with > this beta and do not have this problem. That does not mean that it is not a problem in Money, but it does not mean it is not a problem related to the beta ZA either. If you were running Norton and having an install problem, I would recommend that you uninstall Norton, do the Money install, and reinstall Norton. Several people have reported success with that in the past tho configuring "disable" in Norton did not allow success. - quote - > I would think the tech's at MS would like to know about this but there is

A new user did not solve the problem. Same behavior, the GUI does not open.> user, and create a new XP file without a Passport (select Decline). Yes it is an open beta, however I have installed and tested other apps with> have not heard of your symptom before, but the other user thing > could be useful for testing. > Now if that is a beta ZA, .... :-) this beta and do not have this problem. Not that I know of, although I did trial the 2005 version last winter. Butwhen I uninstalled it I also did a registry scan with jv16 PowerTools to remove any residue, at least I think I removed all of the remnants. Do you know of any registry areas that I can take a look at, to verify all parts of the previous 2005 trial are removed? - quote - > I would create a new XP user. See if you can open Money as that

FYI- I am a beta tester for ZL, an have a better than average grasp ofadjusting the settings within ZA for the various tweaks. I have given the Microsoft Money program entry permission to access the Internet and the Trusted Zones. In fact with ZA open and trying to start Money the ZA GUI shows Microsoft Money accessing the Internet. <snipped the double posting part - for the unabridged version see Cal's post above. - quote - > > This AM I am going to try opening it while in safe mode to see if that
The reinstall has not helped, the same behavior still exists. I have even> > makes any difference. I have even installed over the existing instillation, just to see if it would fix/repair any thing that was wrong in the original instillation, but that did not work. Thanks for hanging in with me I appreciate your help, and now on to the next suggestion. ![]() -- Disciple "... | System - P4, XP home sp2 w/ all critical updates and patches. It is clean/free from any virus, trojans, and any other malware. I just downloaded the trial of Money 2006 and I would really like to try it out. But when I click the Start Menu shortcut the HD is accessed, the busy cursor is displayed but no Money Window is displayed. I again click the Start Menu shortcut but now get a dialog box that states "Money is already running." Process Explorer shows it has loaded, but as I have said there is no window visible. What must I do to be able to try it? It's late and I haven't tried anything except a reboot but that did not help. Also searching this group did not yield anything helpful, and neither did the FAQ. Any and all help Is greatly appreciated. -- Disciple Do not be deceived; "Bad company corrupts good morals." 1Cor. 15:33 |
