Hi,

Can you share with us how you resolved this issue? I too have been
suffering from this problem in MS Money 2005 since ~7/17/05. Did this
turn out to be a system-wide .net passport issue? or something
specific to your account?

If the latter, can you share what you did to troubleshoot and fix this?
I've noticed that if I enable debug logging, my financial institutions
seem to return the .OFX data correctly. The only problem appears to be
that MS Money 2005 has trouble 'digesting' it.

If the former, which MS support option did you use?

Thanks in advance.

Any help appreciated!

Unless you require passport for online banking with Yodlee, various episodes
of Passport problems reported here make me VERY leery of using putting a
Passport on my Money file. It seems to be just asking for trouble. You have
absolutely no backup if the Passport system fails.

Got an email from the support representative informing me that the problem
they were having had been resolved. I just tried it out and everything is
back to normal now. I did have to enable a couple of accounts again for
online update because I had disabled them per MS support during trouble
shooting. All accounts synced up and everythings lovely now!!

Have a great evening!!!

ST,

Now that the sign-in problems have subsided, are you having any better
luck with the updates? Let us know. Thanks.

And it amazes me when smart(?) people don't read posts before making a reply.
I guess some folks just reply because they don't have anything else to do.
The original post clearly states MONEY 2005. Maybe a better resolution is
needed on the monitor so you can tell a 5 from a 6!!

And yes, I do expect to get an email from MS support today.

Have a better day!!

STinGA, It amazes me how people will spend hours trying to "play with"
the new Money 2006 KNOWING it will have initial problems. Why not just
wait a month, get all the information here and THEN play with it. Do
you really expect to get an email reply from MS today? Good luck. Steve

Just opened a ticket with Microsoft. Seems as if there is a problem right
now at Microsoft with signing in with Passport with an existing Money file
that uses passport.

MS support is working on the issue. Meanwhile, they had me cancel online
update capability for my accounts and they can't be added back until the
passsport issue is resolved. I hope they get it resolved sometime today.
They are supposed to notify me via email when it is fixed. We'll see....

Default Permanent "Update in progress"

Money 2005 Standard - Version 14.0.80.1105

Accounts have been updating fairly reliable but all of a sudden all accounts
are showing up in the account list as "Update in progress". I have tried
forcing an update of all accounts but each account gets error "Your account
information is being updated, blah, blah, blah ....."

I have rebooted my machine hoping that the problem was being caused by the
money automatic update being possibly hung but the status on the accounts
never changes. Also tried Money "Quick File Repair" to no avail.

Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon or knows how to resolve?
