For troubleshooting purposes you might try reducing your video> Machine: > Video1: Radeon 9800 SE Family (Microsoft Corp) 128MB [AGP] > Video2: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 32MB [PCI] > Suppose I could just open the .qif in notepad and scroll down to find where > other accounts are referenced and assume that they are in order. On a blank spot on the desktop, right click and choose Properties-> Settings-> Advanced-> Troubleshoot and reduce Hardware Acceleration. If it helps, consider different display driver. |

| These are generally video driver problems. I doubt if you would see it on another computer. I'm not convinced you can fix this, but you could look for newer drivers for your graphics card. -- "Ian Bartholomew" <blackhole[at]abuse.plus.com> wrote in message news:3j5kduFo74keU1[at]individual.net... - quote - > "Glyn Simpson, MVP" <glyn[at]serf.org> wrote in message > news:uth4a4ygFHA.3616[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > > Any way you could post a small screenshot of this one, as i'm not totally > > clear what you mean? > I've put a 12 KiB example at > http://www.idb.me.uk/files/overwrite.JPG > The arrow indicates the problem. I've put a 12 KiB example at> clear what you mean? http://www.idb.me.uk/files/overwrite.JPG The arrow indicates the problem. The referenced account ("Cash") should obviously be at the end of the line, after the colon, and should not overwrite the prompt. -- Ian Use the Reply-To address to contact me. The problem has been mentioned here before, I pointed it out myself soon> of the dialog along with the above comment AND I can't read what is being > referenced. > Any way around this stuff up? after 2005 was released, but I've never seen a fix/work around for it. It doesn't seem to affect everyone so I guess it's some combination of screen font/video driver/whatever that causes it. -- Ian Use the Reply-To address to contact me. | Try to import account: File, Import ..., Recover Accounts... Select blahblah.qif file Dialog box: 'Select Import Account' - I click on create new and select account type, and then give it name. Then get dialog 'Assign Import Account' This says something along the lines of: 'The import file contains a reference to:' with a list of available accounts underneath. I assume I am supposed to select which account I want referenced whenever imported account lists the given reference. I say along the lines of because the reference is listed on the first line of the dialog along with the above comment AND I can't read what is being referenced. Any way around this stuff up? Have updates installed for UK money 2005 - being used in NZ if that has anything to do with anything |
