oes anyone know why this happens and what I can do to fix it? The

I had to load the money sample file and then update Money 2005. Then
load actual file and all was well.

Default Can't Open Money File after Re-Install of Windows

I installed a new hard drive on my laptop and then re-installed money
2005. However, when I try to open my Money 2005 .MNY file, it states
that my file needs conversion. However, when it tries to convert it,
it gives an error:

"Money cannot locate <file> or cannot open it, possibly because it is
a read-only file or you do not have permission to change it or your
disk drive is write protected."

Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do to fix it? The
file is fine, because I have been using it for some time.

thank you!
