Default RE: modifying budgeted income

Jcm:
Thank you for the help. I just tried that and it worked out just fine. I was
hoping instead of having to work around the problem, there was just something
i was "forgetting" to do, but apparently there isn't. Either way, i know how
to fix it now. Thanks again for your help!

Sincerely
Rick

Rick,
The way I've dealt with this problem is as follows. I've added a new
Bill/Deposit for the negative of the original Bill/Deposit which is affecting
my Budget. In your case, you'd enter a new scheduled Bill/Deposit for a
$5,000 withdraw. You'd then accept this transaction from the Bill/Deposit
screen. After accepting the transaction, delete the transaction from your
register. This effectively reduces your budget by $5000.

Default modifying budgeted income

I'm using Microsoft Money 2003. I entered in a recurring $5000 deposit and
wanted to test it out. When i went to the bills&deposits screen and recorded
the deposit, it worked out great. But the problem occured when i tried to
undo that recording action. I went to the accounts screen and to my checking
account and deleted the transaction, which worked just fine. The deposited
amount was subtracted. The deposit was monthly, and so it said the bill was
last paid on july 1st, and the next payment was to be august 1st. But when i
went back to the bills&deposits screen, and modified it to say the deposit
was july 1st again, (since i deleted the transaction), i went back to my
budget screen and it effectively doubled my income! It said i had a budgeted
income of $10,000 now, instead of the original $5,000. I tried to edit my
budget, but it seems to be fine. How do i "reset" my budgeted income?
