Well, that's good advice. My trial version expires in ten days. I hope
2004 is out by then. :-) If not, perhaps it would be possible to
download a trial of 2004 in case the stores here don't stock it in time.

On the other hand, I was perfectly happy with Money 2002. And I found
my CD-ROM, by the way. But as you know, I can't open a 2003 file with
2002.

One other option is getting Works Suite 2003. It contains Money 2003
Standard, plus I get the word processor and I'm assuming the Database,
Spreadsheet, and Communications package programs.

Supposedly yes. Anything you'd setup to use the Deluxe features will just be
lost in Std.

If your are going to buy a copy and haven't yet, two words of advice:

1) If you get a good price, like $17 at Sam's Club after rebate, the
difference in price is almost non-existent and less than $10 worst case.

2) M03 will be replaced by M04, apparently within the next 10 days. M04 may
suck, so I'm not sure I'd be the first on my block to install it and find
out--keep reading this space, I expect we'll see the first user review in a
week or so--but no sense in buying an obsolete version at full price if M04
is as good or better.

Default Trial by Deluxe, Open with Standard?

I downloaded and tried the trial version of MS Money 2003 Deluxe, but
Deluxe has no features that I use. BTW, I only tried the 2003 version
because I lost the CD for my 2002 version which I was perfectly happy
with. Anyway, will the Standard version open a file that has been used
by the Deluxe versions?

Thanks,
Ethan
