| In addition to Cal's excellent suggestions, you may find that having fewer scheduled bills will speed the program in all areas. -- "ivy creek" <ivy creek[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BA27792A-1925-4EAE-A1D6-0DCB608D26AD[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I am running microsoft money 2004 Small business. Archiving is about deleting non-investment entries. Nobody that I> file is large (34150KB). I archive every year. The program will not let me > archive everything. I have run standared file repair. Very frusrated remember has ever posted that archiving made their slow file run significantly faster. Here are some things that may help. While you are thinking about it, review your backup policy. Especially when you are making significant changes you would want to make an extra backup file. For each account, go to the account details. Uncheck to include the account in the budget planner and for budgeted savings goals. Go to Tools-> Options-> Feedback-> (PersonalizedFeedback)Options... and choose DoNotDisplayPersonalizedFeedback. |

| Archiving does nothing for performance, as you've found. Basically, Money is slow. | I am running microsoft money 2004 Small business. It runs very very slow. The file is large (34150KB). I archive every year. The program will not let me archive everything. I have run standared file repair. It shows no broken file and does not help. Could it be a corrupted file or something else. Can I archive everthing without deleting alot of entries. Very frusrated |
