If you don't want to lose transactions since that backup from before your accident, doing the merge is not really complex. Or was it my suggestion that you make an extra just-in-case backup that sounds not simple? File-> Backup is easy. You are very unlikely to need that backup, but I like to be cautious. If you don't have a suitable backup file, this could be an opportunity to think about your backup strategy. |

Make an extra backup or copy of your file.> Well yes Sir it does. I am running Money '05. If you read my post again, I > mentioned that: > I said, ""If I go to "Manage online services" I am able to set up online > services for my bank, but it opens up a whole new account."" Let Money 2005 create that new account. After the new account is set up for download, MergeDuplicateAccounts. Note there is a warning about losing older transactions. People don't usually lose the older transactions in the process, but you can restore or revert back to the other file if you don't like the result. |

| I accidently stopped the online updates on my main checking account, thinking i was stopping it on another account (since you cannot manage your online updates by account title for some reason). Now I can't figure out how to set it back up again. It does not give me the option. It does not say "Provide sign in information" next to the account. If I go to "Manage online services" I am able to set up online services for my bank, but it opens up a whole new account. Help. How do I get my checking account setup for online updates again? |
