Default Re: Investing in Shares payable in Instalments

I'd buy the shares in one Buy. I'd add something like a
"Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow" (I already have this setup as an
Expense category) in the amount of the second installment to a split
transaction in the investment cash account transaction doing the buy. The
total amount of the Buy transaction will be the amount of the first
installment. This will put the "Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow"
Expense category in an Income position. Then I'd expense the second
installment as "Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow" in the investment
cash account cash account. The Buy will reflect the real world. The total
spending/income in "Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow" sets back to
zero. All is well.

I.e.,
First txn:
Payee: Bob's Quick Shares, Amount: ($10,000) memo: first installment
payment.
Split:
Buy Investment/CD:Buy 2,000 MegaEverythingCo [at] $10, Inv Account: My Inv Acct
($20,000)
Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow $10,000

Second txn:
Payee: Bob's Quick Shares, Amount: ($10,000) memo: second installment
payment.
Miscellaneouseposit, Credit to Follow

Default Investing in Shares payable in Instalments

Microsoft Money 2005 standard
When shares are paid for in two instalments, what entry/activity is used in
the Shares Account Register for the second payment, so that the Account Value
increases although no more shares are actually purchased.
eg Australian Telstra 2 shares float.
