| It's hard to tell which opinion you're noting if you don't include it in your reply. | Okay, either Fidelity finally fixed the problem or it was Lou's suggestion but the server had to have time to register that I had changed login information. It's working now! First chance I'd had to try again was today, so hard to judge. Thanks for all the replies! |

| Opinion noted, but if you read my original post, I can't download them and import either. I get an error message for that as well. I'm back to entering them manually if I can't come up with a solution. It worked, now it doesn't, and none of my other financial services are impacted. So, I think Fidelity has screwed something on their end... |

| Because we lead busy lives. But I agree, it's only a time saver if it doesn't require constant fixing (mine rarely does). And occasional manual checks for auditing purposes is a prudent practice. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "Steve" <sjcohen730[at]aol.com> wrote in message news:1119195181.361494.21340[at]f14g2000cwb.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I cannot understand why people find it so important to have everything > done automatically. |

| I have never been able to receive automatic updates from Netbenefits -- I end up having to manually enter my recurring investment transactions. I find this to be completely annoying. I have always entered the updated data MANUALLY whenever it is and I KNOW it is right because I check it. I also think it is a good idea to do this MANUAL cross check periodically to make sure I am not affected by identity scam. I cannot understand why people find it so important to have everything done automatically. If you rely completely on what these automatic downloads tell you you may someday find that they are wrong. People waste too much time trying to make the download work right instead of just doing it with their God given BRAIN. Just my opinion. Steve |

| I had the same problem. So I turned off online updates and now cannot reenable them. My company had just added my stock option account to the online offerings - so I don't know if that had an impact... Any information would be appreciated. | I have found the same problem. Now that I turned off online services, it will not allow me to add them back... Fideilty had just added my Stock Option account to my account - don't know if that caused the recent download problems. If anyone has information, it would be appreciated. | I have not found this to be true on my accout. NetBenefits does seem to implement different things for different customers. It still works for me from within Money or direct log on. | Tried your advice - no immediate success, but maybe it takes a bit for the earth and moon and servers to align... You would think there would be some sort of explanation somewhere? I have no trouble updating with Wachovia or Amex, just Fidelity. I've tried removing the account. Adding it back. Turning off online services and adding it back. This is the latest attempt. Any and all suggestions appreciated. The error message isn't even helpfu - couldn't update - "general error" |

| I have a 401k through Fidelity. Until recently, it was updating fine but now I cannot update automatically. I'd hate to go back to manually entering each quarter after getting used to the convenience... Everytime I just get a message that there's an error. I even tried going to the site and manually downloading history and importing it... still an error message. I have Money 2005. Any suggestions appreciated - anyone else having problems?? |
