| You must have Money 2005, right? Do you sync with a bank that doesn't support Money directly? (ie, does not require a Passport.) If so, that's the answer. Perhaps MS decided that the price of them managing the sync was you providing your personal financial data to them and/or Yodlee for data-mining purposes? Just conjecture. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "Joel" <Joel[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E4D075EE-EE2B-4D37-8FF0-8E1145824EBB[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Hi, > I turned off the option to have my account information synchronized and > stored on MSN. | The Unofficial FAQ speculates on why this is so: http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=175 -- "Joel" <Joel[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E4D075EE-EE2B-4D37-8FF0-8E1145824EBB[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Hi, > I turned off the option to have my account information synchronized and > stored on MSN. | Hi, I turned off the option to have my account information synchronized and stored on MSN. My confusion lies to why that also means that Money cannot continue to automatically download bank/credit card/etc information to Money. Some do continue to be able to be downloaded automatically. Others don't. Basically, it says "If you don't store your info on MSN Money, you won't be able to utilize online features for some financial instutions". I don't understand the tie between having your information stored on MSN and auto downloading from financial institutions, especially if some still continue to work fine even if nothing is stored on MSN. They should be orthogonal features in my mind. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks, - Joel |
