| I declined both MS Passport and my own password - I don't enter anything when I open Money. Online services certainly should work in the standard edition. | No. I'm asking if when you set up your new file up for money 2006 did you accept or decline the MS Passport credentials. In other words when you log on to Money2006, do you have to enter your Passport Credentials email address and password? Also another question I have is, I purchased Money 2006 standard edition from the website for $29 and downloaded it to my pc. Is this a trial version? Should the online services work in the standard edition.? -- thanks for your help "Michael Gordon, MVP" wrote: - quote - > Are you asking whether my Money file is password protected? | Thanks, but caps lock is off. I'm sure, because I tab back and forth from money to the internet and use the logon/pass. | I am having the same exact problem. I am using Money2006 and have verified with my bank that the user id and password is valid. I use the same logon/pass as when logging into the bank via there internet website and it works fine. When I try it from money 2006 it gives me invalid id/pass. This just started happening a few weeks ago. I've connected to my bank using money in the past and it has worked without a problem. My bank is BankOne if that means anything. -- thanks for your help "Chris Cowles" wrote: - quote - > It may be the correct password and User ID for web access. | It may be the correct password and User ID for web access. That may differ from online access using Money. To get more meaningful help you'll have to provide more information, such as the version of Money, and whether or not you're synching with MSN Money. <JimZell[at]mchsi.com> wrote in message news:_cHqe.37347$x96.34606[at]attbi_s72... - quote - > I am attempting to set up an online service. | I am attempting to set up an online service. The financial instituation is listed, I have an account and am definitely using the correct password and user ID. When that occurs, I receive an error that my request to set up online services failed, with a general error. Any idea what is happening? |
