My original supposition was wrong. I had assumed the problem was> investment in the account has its annual return shown, but it will not total > it up for the entire account which in turn mean that it won't show the total > for my entire portfolio. Most of the investments in that account have been > held for a minimum of two months. Any idea on how long the process will take > to correct this? associated with a newly acquired investment, and two or three days would have been enough to be rid of that. Hmmm. Try setting the view to show closed position. See if one of the investments shows "big%" then. If not, I would make a copy of the file, and try deleting the investments one by one until the problem disappeared. Then recreate that investment in the actual file. If that does not do it, you may need to move all of the investments in that account into a newly created account. Review your backup policy and keep extra copies of your file in case you don't like the result of some changes. Keep at least one copy of your .mbf file on a USB flash drive in case of disk crash. That is not because of your symptom. Everybody should do that. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, "Annualized Returns - Big%" <Annualized > > Returns - Big%[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > > > Under my portfolio, the annualized return shown for all my different accounts > > > comes up as "big%" instead of an actual number. | The problem is only with a single investment account. Every individual investment in the account has its annual return shown, but it will not total it up for the entire account which in turn mean that it won't show the total for my entire portfolio. Most of the investments in that account have been held for a minimum of two months. Any idea on how long the process will take to correct this? It will fix itself.> comes up as "big%" instead of an actual number. Any idea how to fix this???? Annualized return for an investment that you have held only a day or two can be a very large number that is really meaningless. You will not have that kind of gain day after day, so soon the number will be less meaningless as a few days go by, and will show as an actual number. |
