I have purchased two programs, both are the British editions.

If you open the sample.mny file that should load Money and let you check the
versions in Help > About. Sample.mny usually lives in the same directory as
your main money file.

Money is not backwards compatible so M2001 cannot read M2005 data files. The
password request is a somewhat cryptic way of telling you this. When you
upgraded to M2005 it made a copy of your M2001 file as *.mn9 (I think).
However if you go back to that you loose all transactions since you
upgraded! :-(

Things have just got a lot worse.
I tried installing it on my 2nd HD, still would not run.

Now the files that I have been using on the demo version, cannot be opened
on the full working version on my notebook.
I have been using computers for years and MS since Windows 2.1, but Money
2005 must be the most crap software I have ever purchased.
I should have stuck with Money 2003, but I needed to upgrade so I could use
it on my PDA.

I now have two copies that I cannot use!
Any more ideas on getting it to work, or getting my cash back for both
copies.

Incidently, Windows XP (Spanish edition) is my operating system.
