The first thing you should do if you have such an issue is to not
overwrite your backup file. Many people have Money set to overwrite
their only recent backup file upon close.

So if something strange happens, make an extra copy of the latest
backup file before closing Money.

If you don't have an extra backup file from less than a month ago,
it is time to review your backup strategy.

My bad. I was using the wrong CD. File was saved with 2005 and I was trying
to load it with 2004. Need a better way to keep track of CDs.

Anytime you experience unexplained issues like this, you should first run the
salvage tool to make sure there is no corruption in your file. If the error
keeps happening, then post the problem here.

Default Money 2004 - Crash when loading old Mny file

I just installed Money 2004 on a new computer. I copied my data directory
over and would like to open my existing MNY file. File-Open let's you select
the file and then starts a Wizard. As soon as I click Next, Money crashes
with the "Money must close" message.

Not cool. Any ideas?
