Money 2004 file) to Moshe04.mny or whatever. In the install folder of Money 2005, find salv.exe. Run that on Moshe04.mny and produce what you hope is a repaired file. At this point it is a slim hope, but there might have been an improvement in salv.exe in the Money 2005 version. You can try converting that in Money 2005, or you could try it with your previous Money version (reinstall if you had Money 2005 uninstall it). If no joy, I don't have a good option for you. I would try the qif export/import thing. At least you will have a clean file. |

| Cal, It did not help upgrading to Money 2005, converting the file, dowloading updates, and even running another repair from Money 2005. The program crashes, I can't disable online services, etc. What should I do? | I have a similar issue like "Don Alwalt" had in this thread: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...02459bfbe9f003 - New transactions are not appearing in the register - Money crashes when loading accounts after downloading update. Problem is that his solution does work for me. I can't even delete the account, or disable online services. I did a Standard repair, and even tried to do a Standard repait on the output file again. Nothing helps. I am able to export the account. I don't want to create a new data file and export and then import the accounts into the new file. I will lose all my settings, budget, categories, etc. I have a backup, but not from the time this issue happened. My latest backup long ago overwrote the last working backup. (I wish there would be built-in backup versioning..) What are my options now? Help! |
