| I had thought about using the classifications feature in the past for some other things, but I never really was able to make sense of what to do with it. 99% of my transactions don't need any further tracking beyond a simple category. So in those cases, what do I do with the classification? Leave it blank most of the time? -Jeff "Chris Cowles" <NoSpam[at]For.me> wrote in message news:ubdvG$qZFHA.3184[at]TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... - quote - > Look up 'classification' in help. > -- > Chris Cowles > Gainesville, FL > "Jeff P" <jeffpNO[at]SPAMruralramp.net> wrote in message > news:119rdmbbg02fi31[at]corp.supernews.com... > > Now and then I encounter an expense that is tax deductable in some manner > > but I think of it personally in a different manner. | Now and then I encounter an expense that is tax deductable in some manner but I think of it personally in a different manner. For example, being unemployed one can buy new clothes to look good for a job interview and this is tax deductable. I could create a category called "job search" and put the expense under that so that at the end of the year it will show up on tax reports. But, I personally prefer to lump this together with clothing expenses in my own reports. What is the best way to track the same expense in two different ways? -Jeff |
