Default Re: Money 2005 Fallback

When M2005 upgrades your existing file it takes a copy as *.m10 (if I have
calculated right!). If you want to revert you would a) reinstall M2002 and
b) rename *.m10 as *.mny and c) reinput all transactions since you did the
upgrade.

Default Money 2005 Fallback

I would like to try out Money 2005, but I am concerned about the convoluted
fallback procedure. As I understand it, to fallback you must uninstall 2005
and then re-install the prior version (2002 in my case). To be safe I'll
backup my 2002 files first.

Okay this may work, but is the following fallback procedure better for XP
users:

Simply create a system checkpoint and then restore to that checkpoint if
necessary to fallback. Data files must still be backed up as above.

I plan to use this XP procedure if no one on this board sees a problem.
