Thanks for your suggestion. I did find the account affected was not
included in the report. Only all categories were included. So I checked
off the account affected and it displayed the report category correctly.
Sorry for the oversight. Problem solved!

Interestingly, I followed the exact pattern you had below. I used Money 2004
International though. After creating a new subcategory, and adding a
transaction the report (i used the default report, pressing reset before i
started this procedure), it showed the transaction okay.

I'd try checking that the account is listed in the report first, before
resetting the report and recreating it.

Default Reports Category Omissions

Using Money 2004 Standard, I have added a new subcategory. I then entered a
transaction to that subcategory and subsequently ran a report "Monthly
Income and Expenses", which omitted the new expense transaction subcategory.
The Customize feature shows all categories and subcategories are selected
for reporting.

At this point, it appears to be a flaw in the reporting feature.
