I use Transfer because I was allowing money to be credited for a
credit card with a different day than it got debited from the
checking account. I was not thinking about what the effect on
reports would be. But since it is not income or expense, that works
out right.

I named my account "In Transit". When I look at the account details,
it shows as type "Bank or other".

Thank you both! And do you suggest transferring monies between the suspense
account and the checking account so that it doesn't show as inc/exp or is
there a better way?

Default Suspense accounts

What is the best way to setup suspense accounts in M05? We use it for
'holding' monies until we have to spend it. It really helps with budgeting!
