Assigning categories to payees

You could also construct a report to show these transactions, but Cal's
method is better.

Worked like a charm.

Not exactly intuitive, I might add (I mean for a dumbo like me, a simple
checkbox next to a statement "Find all transactions without category
assignments" would do the trick)

You can select them by ClearAll for the Category, and checking both
IncludeUnassignedIncomeTransactions and
IncludeUnassignedExpenseTransactions.

Does that let you do what you want?

There is a find and replace function under tools.

Also you can enable AutoComplete so that Money remembers your assignments.

MSM05: I've downloaded oodles of transaction from my bank and am in the
process of assigning categories to each transactions. Besides it being a
blooming bore, is there a way to assign a category to a payee once and
then have all identical or similar payees receive the same category
assignment? (sort of a find and replace function, no?)
