You might be able to just hold the shift key down in IE6 when youclick to download it. Alternately, you can get a box with a button allowing you to save to disk rather than feeding the OFX file directly to Money. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> FolderOptions-> FileTypes Select OFX-- Open Financial Exchange File . Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download to get the pop-up box. Save the file to disk, and then analyze. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, cpa10house wrote: > > > > What's the process to begin analyzing the file? Is this normal? Can you help interpret? Does it imply anything > serious? It is certainly not normal. I get that same pop-up message if I choose a file that is not an OFX file, or even if I enter the filename of a file that does not exist. I suggest you Browse to the file rather than entering it into the box. If that does not solve it, copy and paste the contents of the file up to, but not including <BANKID> or <ACCTID> (so that we can see that it looks like a proper OFX file to that point) into a follow-on post. If that does not provide sufficient info, you might edit a copy of the file and overwrite each bit of potentially personal info ,amounts, etc with a "?" character. You would paste that into a posting. |
