| I've removed NAV from my machine, reinstalled MSB 2005 and still the same results, I get a message when I start the software that says I can't apply the update. | I had NAV 7.6, and it is not a problem except for first few time. Money 2005 does run from power user even limited user after install. from admin account I also have firewall. Sorry not very helpful here. But sometimes a different admin account or even a new user make things go. But one have to be careful with brand new user with brand new profile instead of some custom profile. In other word don't bother customize the profile for the new account, let it default. Sometimes Group Policy and windows firewall can get in the way also. OK. I would next create a new user with Administrator privilege.> Dell and a local tech. Still no go. Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file. Let Money download the updates as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE6 setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE6 settings will not have been changed. |

I don't know why people report NAV blocking is terminated when they uninstall, and not when it is disabled/turned off. But people have posted that. |

| This sounds so close to several other I've seen posted but here goes... After installing MSB 2005, I receive a message everytime I attempt to run the software that an update is available and is being downloaded and installed. It looks like the machine has hung until you hide the first screen and see the ominous meassage: "We were not able to complete the Money udpate". Please make sure you have at least 100MB of free hard disk space to perfomr this update. Then restart money to retry this wizard." I have 75GB on one drive and 58GB one another; I have MB to 4MB of virtual storage; I am the system adminastrator; I have NAV turned off; I have Stopzilla turned off; I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times. In short, I've done everything I can find here but to no avail. |
