If you have a scheduled loan payment it should be reflected in the Debt
section of the budget. IF you want to reflect it as some other kind of
expense, your only choice is not to setup a scheduled loan payment. That's a
bad alternative to the way it works--the debt section--which may take some
getting used to but gets to a correct answer.

Default Mortgage Payments in Budget

In trying to setup my budget: My Mortgage payment is showing up as a loan
payment and I am unable to track against it. Any thoughts of how I can
factor in a Mortgage Payment? I have an associated Asset Account (the
property) setup in money and the automatic transactions go against loan
interest and principal correctly in the associated account. In the Budget
setup I am unable to actually select a loan category though as an expense!?
