Go to the account register. Click View|Account Summary. At the bottom of the
register window, click Account Update.

Hi,
I cant seem to find the "Quick Update" you have mentioned. When you get a
chance can you post the right name and where I can find it. Appreciate your
help.

Thanks.

Maybe, maybe not. The wizard is pretty lame and has always seemed buggy to
some of us. OTOH, not all users want to go to trouble to crank in ANY
transactions and not all 401k plans provide transaction level detail, even
now.

Have you checked out the Quick Update (I think that's the name, I can't
recall precisely and I'm not on an M04-equipped box) tool available on the
lower left corner of the Investment Account|Account Summary page? I find it
much more usable--until M05 changed it to work without regard to date and
transaction dates--than the Wizard ever was.

Default M04: How to balance a 401K account

Hi,

Does Money 2004 allow balancing a 401K account if actual transactions are
known. When I select "More investing Tasks-> Update Retirement Account" or
from Cash Account "Balance an account", I get this "wizard" that seems more
complicated than reconciling individual transactions.

I can imagine this kind of wizard a decade ago being useful when retirement
plans issue quaterly statements, without actual transactions. Nowadays, when
actual transactions are available, this "wizard" seems unsuitable. Am I
missing some thing obvious?

Thanks.
