| I got the same letter. Shows you how much the people in Customer Service know. And the girl I talked to asked her supervisor! Too bad we got bad information from MS. But it doesn't surprise me. They probably have special packaging and a special price for Sam's Club. I prefer to get the discount at the time of purchase rather than the hassle of sending in the rebate stuff and waiting for the check. | To use MSN Alerts (reminders about accounts and investments delivered to the cell phone, e-mail, or desktop), you need a Passport account associtaed with the Money file. I don't use Passport and Money. So, it's of no use to me ... "Tagman" <Tagman_2000[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uSVTEqlaDHA.2032[at]TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... | I called the 800 number listed on the coupon. The woman told me that the downloaded coupon IS valid. I explained that it did NOT come from the MS web site. She said that didn't matter. She added that if I was concerned about the "copy" issue to just write the promotion number on a plain 3x5 index card with my name and address below, and a note that there was no coupon in the box. She also said that Sam's Club was NOT on any list of ineligible vendors. I sent in the coupon with my receipt and box-top. I wrote a note at the bottom that there was no coupon in the box. We'll see what happens... If I get the rebate, that will lower the cost from $32.76 (+tax) to $12.76.
