You pay a fee to get OFX access from Money. That implies that Wells Fargo is providing that data directly. Money gets that data. It also gets data Via Yodlee causing the duplication. Here is what I would do. Copy your current Money file to another name in case you don't like the result of what you do. After all, I am not at all sure that my hypothesis has merit. Restore a backup from before the incident. Remove the Passport on your Money file. File-> PasswordManager-> Change-> DisableMoney'sPassportFeatures. Now try do your updates from Wells Fargo, and see if things are better behaved. |

| Was this immediately after upgrading to Money 2005? If so, confirm that Money 2005 has updated 20 the 1105 version (Help - About) and then reconvert your data file. You might want to reference http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889246 Or was it working fine in 2005 until just recently? If that's the case, then it is more likely that Wells Fargo may have inadvertently (or purposefully, without testing the implications in Money) changed the download format. -Mark "mistybrian" <mistybrian[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B97F239E-993B-4699-8FCB-C145442CD850[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I pay Wells Fargo $3 a month, and they provide online integration with MS > Money. | I pay Wells Fargo $3 a month, and they provide online integration with MS Money. I've used this for 4 years without incident. I don't believe the Wells Fargo integration is the problem. I doubt my online transaction history goes back 4 years... but almost 4 years worth of transactions were affected. And, Wells Fargo doesn't know what is contained in my split transactions, they just track the tiotal amount. But, the details of each split transaction is what is being reapplied to my account. t seems clear to me that MS Money is reapplying the split transactions, but it appears to be triggered by the Online Updates. Very strange and disconcerting situtation. | Directly after an Online Update to my bank (Wells Fargo) the other day, 3 years of Split Transaction Payments were DOUBLE applied to my checking account. In fact, every item within a split transaction now shows up as its OWN transaction. For example... BEFORE the incident - March 2, 2003 -Countrywide Home Loan Payment $1000 AFTER the incident - March 2, 2003 - Countrywide Home Loan Payment $1000 March 2, 2003 - Property Tax $500 March 2, 2003 - Interest $500 This is not a downloading/matching issue, but a bug that is reapplying split transactions from years ago to my account. Now, my account appears to be $50,000 in the red and every new split transaction I pay online through MS Money is applied twice in exactly the same way as above. Can anyone shed light on this? I am considering dropping split transactions altogether. Thanks in advance, Brian Thanks, Brian |
