What kind of response would you prefer? I'll get right on it and fix it? I
just use the product. If you want a bug fixed, go to Microsoft directly. We
can't fix bugs here. And reporting them here does no good as evidenced by
the OPs problem having been in Money for a number of versions despite having
been reported here before. Instead the Money team focuses on what they keep
telling us Most Users Prefer(tm): dumbing down the product and adding more
vectors for advertising.

BTW, your description of an issue does not match the OPs description of what
I suspect is a different issue.

double-clicking on it. The screen comes up that allows me to edit the
information that should be recorded in the register. If I change the date
of the transaction and click Record, more often than not, when the
transaction gets recorded, the date is not kept and the original date was
