You can export to IF and reimport as a group into 04.

Helped a friend installed M03 on his PC (an upgrade from M01 for him)
and while going through various menus, etc., began to realize just how
awful M05 is.

Unfortunately I have 7 months of data in the file that I have no wish
to re-enter by hand (for the most part), and can only hope someone at
Microsoft listens to current users of the Money products in the
building/release of M06.

....sigh ...

Have you spotted that when you import the QIF files into Money you must
select all the files together (Ctrl + Click) to avoid transfers being double
counted?

I understand these issues. I just wanted to make sure you weren't expecting
it to do something it explicitly can't. As it is, it struggles doing some of
the things it claims to be able to do.

I realize that. However, I could export all my data to QIF files and import
the accounts individually. Lot's of work, and lots of cleanup to deal with
all the transfers. Since I have 30 or so accounts -- it's not really feasible
this way.

You leave your method ambiguous, but be advised that M05 will NOT
successfully import Q05 files. It's only designed to convert (with differing
levels of success) Q04 and earlier.

Default Lost a potential customer

I am getting tired of Quicken (although I did purchase Q 2005).

I downloaded the Money 2005 trial, expecting to be able to <b> easily</bimport my Q data, which is a) complex and b) long-running.

Without the ability to easily perform this import and run the program
side-by-side, I won't be purchasing Money at this time.
