I'll check with them. It all worked before on previous versions of Money.
I haven't changed anything.

Thanks,
Bob

That is strange.

Did you have different sign ins for your Home versus your Business accounts
at Compass?
Have you verified with Compass that both accounts are set up onder the same
OFX sign in credentials?

If they are using different credentials, that may explain the delay.

I see a "lightning bolt" (indicating the account is setup for online
services) next to the Compass Business account name, but I don't see one
next to the Compass Home account.

Xfers can only be done between online enabled accounts.
So, this is actually doing an "epay" which is delayed.

It worked with the previous version of money... just not Money 2005. I
selected one-time transfer, not epay.

Compass bank's conclusion is that there's a bug in Money 2005. I wonder if
its a configuration issue on Compass bank's side?

This may be dependent upon the financial institution.
Money 2005 supports "future dated" transfers if the FI provides that.
Most (all?) FIs also only allow same business day transfers between accounts
at the same institution. It may be that in this particular case, the Compass
Home and Compass Business accounts are considered by Compass to be separate
Financial institutions.
Also, keep in mind that there is a difference between an epay and and xfer.
If you do a transfer using "epay" it will treat it as a normal electronic
payment subject to the processing time delay.

Thanks Chris,

That's an interesting theory. With the older, less-smart version of Money,
and with Quickbooks, the transfer request was transmitted immediately, and
the transfer was seen by the bank employees that day, and the official
transfer took place the next day.

We will have to do the same test with Money 2005.... initiate a transfer,
ignore the date, and call the bank that afternoon and the next day. If I
were to bet money, I would bet that the money will not transfer until the
future date that Money 2005 puts in there.

I wonder if theres a registry setting somewhere that will fix this bug?

Bob

If an electronic transfer, Money revises the dates of electronic
transactions to the earliest date it believes the bank can complete the
transaction.
