From Money *Portfolio* and also from the Price History for an
investment I see you can click on "Interactive Carts on MSN Money"
in the lower left. That might be of use to you. Small charts tho.

Actually, my 'Watch' account was not tagged as being one. Once I did that,
went to investments, selected add, then 'Watch' account, an option appeared
to add an index. After having done so I had to value the symbol, but it
works. It also shows up in the list of indexes for comparison, but has no
history.

Depends.

In Money 2005 you can click the little Chart symbol next to a symbol
in the Portfolio view. Then add one or more "Compare with" symbols.
Click Chart-> DisplayOptions to select comparison charts to show
Percent Difference.

Thanks for your reply. I added S&P and DJIA to a new 'Investments to
watch' list. When I compare two investments (graph), Money plots the
actual values, instead of a %change from start-end date. Is there any
way to do this?

Those entries are missing from my watch list account. How do I add them back
in a manner that makes them link to the entries in the drop-down list?

The reference to Investments to Watch is to an account by that name
that has the account designated as a "watch" account in
settings/properties. A watch account contains pretend investments
rather than actual investments.

The symbol in Money for SP500 is $SPX.X and for the DJIA it is
$DJX.X

Default track ^SPX and add investments to watch

Hi,

Whenever I try to compare the performance of an investment (stock or fund)
with a major index (S&P 500 or DJIA), I get an error saying "You have no
price history downloaded for S&P 500. To update information, click update
prices in the left pane." When I do that, the quotes for most of the things
get updated, except for the indices, and the get the same error message
again.

When I tried to add an investment or index to 'Investments to watch' list, I
realized that there is no such category as 'Investments to watch'. Am I
missing something?
