| DRP works to do one thing: pay off debts minimizing interest expense given the criteria input. If you have a different algorithm, then don't manage the debts with DRP. No, DRP can't predict freeform. You could try to mess with the minimum payment settings to achieve your goals. Excel might be a more flexible way to get the answer you are looking for. <om[at]skillsearch.co.uk> wrote in message news:1111834096.185433.124540[at]g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... Ok. So finally i have realised that i need to handle credit cards like any other account and simply transfer money to them then add interest as an expense each months (negates the point of having "credit card" as an account type, but there ya go). However, what i wanted from Money was the Dept Reduction Planner and the ability to know when i will out of debt and to work my way along the pretty little graph. Now, is it, before i explode, possible to have the debt reduction planner tell me how long etc using figures that I provide IT ? Rather than the other way around ? I want to allocate £xx to one card, and £xx to another, but the debt reduction planner insists on me allocating £xxxx in total and then sharing it out as it sees fit. I want to override that and say "NO MR DEBT REDUCTION PLANNER, YOU WILL USE THESE FIGURES". Before I take this back to the shop and go for QuickBooks, can this be done ? |

| As I understand it the basic rule that DRP follows is that it tries to minimise the amount you have to repay. So it will pay first a credit card with 15% interest followed by a credit card with 10% followed by one with 5%. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny.
