Forecast cash flow shows what it knows from transactions entered or
scheduled (or what DRP projects). If you want the most accurate prediction,
you have to schedule an estimate of both income and expenses. Assuming you
are carrying a balance on a credit card and are not continuing to rack up
new charges, you can schedule both a payment and an approximate interest
expense. DRP will try to do these projections, but, as you've noted, it is
pretty set in its algorithm for paying managed debts off.

If other packages do this better for you then, by all means, use them
instead.

But, doesnt that make Cash Flow and all the other predictnig graphs
useless? The Cash Flow certainly reads totally wrong because its not
considering the true capital repayment on the card.

This certain works with several other accounts packages which i have
tried in the last year.

Yes, I can.

You need to enter the interest expense as an expense transaction every
cycle. The ONLY place Money calculates an interest amount that goes in a
transaction is in a Loan Account.

I have been trying to get money to handle the minimum payment for my
credit card correctly and have it scheduled each month.

I have found that if i use the DRP to setup a monthly payment to my
card for the minimum amount, IT PAYS OFF THAT AMOUNT FROM MY CREDIT
CARD BALANCE!!!!!! which is crazy!

Example:

My mimimum is 5%, currently £82 a month. If i set this percentage up
in teh account details and enter the monthly payment date etc, then
money correctly schedules a payment of £82 from Current Account to
Credit Card, however its a simple transfer so the credit card balance
reduces by £82 !!!!

What SHOULD happen is that £82 leaves my current account, and about
£30 is payed off of my credit card account (after the interest has
been taken off).

Can anyone explain why its doing this and how to make it work correctly
?
