| I don't mean to contradict anyone, but Microsoft did produce a tax program for 1999. It was called MS TaxSaver, & I used it. I liked it very much, & was very disappointed when they didn't continue the product. I have used TaxCut ever since, & although I have been more or less satisfied with it, I really preferred TaxSaver. | MS has a business relationship with HR Block (Taxcut) to improve the interaction between the two programs. Unrelated to that, I've been using TaxCut for years and am satisfied. I first started using it because I had some rental property, and TaxCut was superior in that regard, at that time. I can recommend using it. I know nothing about TurboTax and cannot make comparisons. I believe HRBlock does have prior years' version of Taxcut available. I don't know if it goes back to 1999. Other vendors may have products available, as well. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "Firedog" <Firedog[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:81507133-390C-44C7-9047-F58CFFB78496[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Can I download money tax oftware for prior years? Microsoft Money does not do taxes.Money does provide selected data to TaxCut or TurboTax to aid doing taxes. Schedule D information is particularly useful, if you have entered your Buy and Sell information into Money first. If that is your only reason for using Money, then I think you would be better off using a tax program alone. Money can make doing your taxes significantly easier in the future. |
