I don't mean to contradict anyone, but Microsoft did produce a tax program
for 1999. It was called MS TaxSaver, & I used it. I liked it very much, &
was very disappointed when they didn't continue the product. I have used
TaxCut ever since, & although I have been more or less satisfied with it, I
really preferred TaxSaver.

MS has a business relationship with HR Block (Taxcut) to improve the
interaction between the two programs. Unrelated to that, I've been using
TaxCut for years and am satisfied. I first started using it because I had
some rental property, and TaxCut was superior in that regard, at that time.
I can recommend using it. I know nothing about TurboTax and cannot make
comparisons.

I believe HRBlock does have prior years' version of Taxcut available. I
don't know if it goes back to 1999. Other vendors may have products
available, as well.

Microsoft Money does not do taxes.

Money does provide selected data to TaxCut or TurboTax to aid doing
taxes. Schedule D information is particularly useful, if you have
entered your Buy and Sell information into Money first.

If that is your only reason for using Money, then I think you would
be better off using a tax program alone. Money can make doing your
taxes significantly easier in the future.
