| I would suspect that since the download did not include cash transactions, the Transfer To/From field for each transaction is blank. So, you could manually change each transaction's Transfer to the associated Cash account so that the transactions do show up in the Cash Transactions register. -Mark "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:d5i84111sh5646b4ut6l9bcpl8do9vdr2e[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Tom Olson wrote: > > > I looked in the Cash Transaction register and the transactions are indeed > > missing. Each dividend, Sell or Buy in the transaction register should have a> missing. I looked back to the original statements and the transactions were > older than I thought. They were prior to Jan 26, which is the earliest date > I was able to download any detail for. corresponding entry in the Cash Transactions. If not, find out why. Switch your transaction's out of single line format if that is what it is in. One way is Ctrl+T. You can then see where the cash goes to and where it comes from on a Buy. I expect when your write a check, it will appear in the cash transactions with the check number in the Num column. |

| Cal, I looked in the Cash Transaction register and the transactions are indeed missing. I looked back to the original statements and the transactions were older than I thought. They were prior to Jan 26, which is the earliest date I was able to download any detail for. Thanks for the help! That does not sound right. OK. Perhaps you are not looking in the Cash Transactions. Perhaps> a couple of deposits other than Dividends, LT CapGain and Interest did not > show up and there less > than a month old. you did not create a Cash Transactions register. If that is the case, it can be remedied. |

| Cal, 1. Buys and Sells all get downloaded fine and they are correct. 2. Open positions prior to 1/26/05 do not get downloaded at all. Not a problem I just manually entered them as AddShare entries to establish my cost basis. 3. MMF account balance did not get downloaed. 4. Deposits and withdrawels to/from cash do not get downloaded, with the exception of Interest, LT CapGain and Dividends. I can make the adjusting entry to bring my cash on hand up to date, but I'm concerned that I will be stuck makiing manual entries for any check(s) written against the MMF account. Likewise a couple of deposits other than Dividends, LT CapGain and Interest did not show up and there less than a month old. I had an issue, but with different symptoms. Are you saying there> are downloaded correctly except my TD Waterhouse account. Money downloads > the transaction detail just fine, but it doesn't download the money market > account associated with the trading account. TD Waterhouse support offered > no solutions so here I am. Has anyone else encountered this issue? are no MMF Buy and Sell transactions generated, or are you saying they are wrong? If none are generated, that works well. In that case, the cash account balance would represent your cash+MMF, which corresponds to your effective cash. However if they download position data in the MMF without the transactions, that would be a problem. Fidelity reportedly has that condition if you use their "FCASH" MMF. If there are Buys and Sells but they are somehow wrong, that is harder to deal with. So what gets downloaded? |

| Daryl, Thank you for the reply. I do see the cash transactions section, but I am unable to download any activity in that area. I did notice one thing that is curious. The interest paid on the cash balance in the money market account shows up as a line item in the stock transaction section. I may have to look into Etrade. Thanks again, Tom "Daryl" - quote - > I have no problems with Etrade. By default, I think money create a seperate > cash account for the brokerage account. | I have no problems with Etrade. By default, I think money create a seperate cash account for the brokerage account. When you look at the details of the brokerage account you should have a cash transactions option on the left menu. | Hello, I just picked up Money Small Business 2005 yesterday. All of my accounts are downloaded correctly except my TD Waterhouse account. Money downloads the transaction detail just fine, but it doesn't download the money market account associated with the trading account. TD Waterhouse support offered no solutions so here I am. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Tracking the trades is a nice start, but being unable to monitor transactions in and out of cash is a big drawback. I realize this issue may be specific to TD Waterhouse, so if anyone is using a different broker that does not have this problem please let me know. Kind Regards, Tom O. |
