| In M05, it's probably similar to M04's Tools|Options|Categories|Require a category for each transaction. M05 semi-rearranged all of this or who knows what reason. ("Most Users Prefer(tm)" is probably the party line.) I don't use M05 or I'd give you precise direction. This may not have meaning in an Essential * environment. | I seem to recall in earlier versions of Money (2002/2004) that one could require that a category be specified before the entry was accepted or entered. Since upgrading I've committed to tracking everything at the category level, but because I turned this option off some time ago I'm having a hard time keeping that promise to myself. Anyone know if (and hopefully where) they've hidden the little gem or if they've removed it in the name of "progress". TIA. |
