Default Re: Enabling Require Category?

tools-> settings-> categories-> require a category for each transaction

(so almost exactly the same, apart from 'settings'). :-)

In M05, it's probably similar to M04's Tools|Options|Categories|Require a
category for each transaction. M05 semi-rearranged all of this or who knows
what reason. ("Most Users Prefer(tm)" is probably the party line.) I don't
use M05 or I'd give you precise direction. This may not have meaning in an
Essential * environment.

Default Enabling Require Category?

I seem to recall in earlier versions of Money (2002/2004) that one could
require that a category be specified before the entry was accepted or
entered. Since upgrading I've committed to tracking everything at the
category level, but because I turned this option off some time ago I'm having
a hard time keeping that promise to myself.

Anyone know if (and hopefully where) they've hidden the little gem or if
they've removed it in the name of "progress".

TIA.
