I assume that you have tried salv.exe (same as> Solutions that have been successively tried and have failed are: deleting > all bills/deposits; starting sample money file then restoring from backup > file; multiple file fixes; removing and re-installing the money program; > exporting, then reimporting accounts into Sample.mny file. > Nothing works to solve this problem. File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair). You might check that msisam10.dll is dated 06/18/03 11:00 AM and is 315,455 bytes long. You might try uninstalling Money 2004 and reinstalling into a different folder, such as "C:\Program Files\Money2004". You might also consider installing Money 2005. you can use the downloadable free trial. You can tell it not to uninstall your existing copy of Money. Copy your Money file to Ron05.mny and let Money 2005 convert that. You can then run both versions of Money, one at a time. If you have no Passport on your file, nothing special comes to mind. If you have a Passport, do not have the same Passport on both files. Run both versions for a while. Money 2005 does not have a file named msisam10.dll. |

| Upon closing an ms money file, I get an error message "Money has encountered a problem and needs to close...mod. msisam10 dll." Sometimes this error message appears unpredictably in the middle of working with the program and the program crashes. When this occurs, I cannot reopen the *.mny file. I can restore money from a backup file (.mbf), modify the file, add or delete transactions, download, etc...and backup again, but upon closing the restored file, the .mny file crashes with the above error message and cannot be restarted. msisam10.dll is found in programs/money/systems file. Solutions that have been successively tried and have failed are: deleting all bills/deposits; starting sample money file then restoring from backup file; multiple file fixes; removing and re-installing the money program; exporting, then reimporting accounts into Sample.mny file. Nothing works to solve this problem. MS technical support has spent long hours trying to help (and I'm grateful), but I've run through all of their suggestions (including the export-reimport option above which causes loss of data) and none of the solutions listed above resolve the problem. I'm threatened with loosing 4 years financial data (which is what will happen if I switch to Quicken...the only remaining solution that occurs to me. I've been a loyal and happy MS customer for years. Please help! |
