I just went through this about 6 weeks ago with them. I had to file a complaint with Amazon to get my full purchase price including shipping back. I ended up getting 2004 from eBay. -- ~ Kathleen Anderson |

Based on what I've read, 2004 seems like a reasonable choice, and it's still available new via Amazon at great discounts ($20 for Premier). -- Jim - quote - > "Jim Mack" wrote: > > I have an older version of Money (3.0) and I'll be upgrading to a > > newer version. > > > I don't intend to ever connect to MSN (for anything, ever), but I do > > want to import data from my bank(s) and other institutions where > > possible. > > > I also need to import the data from the earlier Money version. > > > What is the minimum version (2003, etc) and level (Deluxe, etc) that > > will allow me to do this? | Provided you are using a version for the same locale (i.e., Mv3 US-> M04 US), newer versions are very good about upgrading older version files. (Not perfect, but they always try and rarely fail. Latent problems in the backlevel file can cause problems.) M04 may end up being the high water mark of Money development. I'd avoid M05. See http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm for my reasons. YMMV. | Hi - I have an older version of Money (3.0) and I'll be upgrading to a newer version. I don't intend to ever connect to MSN (for anything, ever), but I do want to import data from my bank(s) and other institutions where possible. I also need to import the data from the earlier Money version. What is the minimum version (2003, etc) and level (Deluxe, etc) that will allow me to do this? I see that there is a lot of frustration here with 2K5 -- should I avoid it? Thanks for any insights. -- Jim |
