You have to use Advanced register for both accounts. I'm not sure whether
there is a better link or not, but one of the True Believers in downloaded
transactions should pop in here.

Well, I thought I had it ... But I can't get it to match them up ... It
still creates duplicates. It just seems I can't get the two accounts to link
to each other. I've tried to find other FAQ, and I am still a little
confused. Is there a link that might describe this better. (this is my first
time using this program). Does it make a difference if I'm in Advanced
Register or not (I am currently using advanced).
The only way I can figure to solve this problem, is to create one duplicate
in either the bank account or the Credit card account, and delete the one
that was already there .
Thanks

I'd say you always want one of the Specials, either Transfer (normative) or
Credit Card Payment (a Transfer with a confusing name). I'd suggest deleting
the Expense category Credit Card Payments/Transfer as it just causes
confusion and doesn't link the paying account with the paid account.

Just so I get it right ... basically, assign all my chequing accounts
transfers to my credit card as Credit Card Payment (not under the "special"
part) and that should take care of it?

Default Transaction Classifiation

I have one banking account setup, and one credit card setup. Both are updated
online. After updating, I start putting each transaction into a catagory. The
problem I run into, is, I pay my credit card through online banking on my
bank account. So, when I try and tell Money 2005 that the transaction on my
banking account is a transfer to my credit card (which is also on Money 2005)
, it adds another transaction to my credit card amount .... which throws off
my balanced accounts.
How can I stop this ... or how can I make MOney 2005 see that the
transaction in my bank account is the same transaction in my credit card
account.
