How recently did you download that version? This year, or 2004. If
2004, it is possible that an update has not been applied if
something has been blocking internet access for Money.

Can you open Money now? When you do Help-> About, what does the
version say? The trial should say Version 14.10.*.1105 and the
deluxe should be 14.0.120.1105 after updates are applied.

If Money is operating and if you don't use the Passport that you
used when you upgraded Money on your actual Money file, do
File-> New-> NewFile. Make a new file and put the Passport that you
used when you upgraded Money onto your new file. Don't bother
entering data. Do internet updates. Close Money, and reopen. If
successful, Money should no longer say it is the trial version.
Return to your regular Money file by selecting it from the bottom of
the File menu.

Default upgrade trial not working

The version of Money you are trying to install is older than the version
already installed on your computer. You must remove the newer version of
money before you install the older version.

I downloaded a trial version of Microsoft Money 2005 Deluxe version. A
reminder poped up in money to get me to upgrade. so I followed the link on
the page below within Money:
http://www.microsoft.com/money/speci...ges_Trial.mspx

I purchased the full version. When I tried to follow the directions to
download and install it, I got the following error:

The version of Money you are trying to install is older than the version
already installed on your computer. You must remove the newer version of
money before you install the older version.

When I tried to see if I could purchase it again, it would not allow me (so
I know I purchased it).
