I'm sure the account is selected and activesync is remembering the filename
since I can delete all the money info on the ppc and tell it to sync and that
will work - it just locks up async after that. I tried to hard reset the
ppc. Then, with nothing on the ppc I installed money05 for ppc and synced.
The inital sync went fine (as it always does). I took the ppc off the
cradle, put a new transaction on the desktop, closed money on the desktop,
closed all tasks on the ppc, cradled it and still - money won't sync. Am I
the only Ipaq 4150 user with this problem?

btw - thanks for all your advice Glen; despite my frustration, I do
appreciate your help.

Oh, just thought that it would be worth checking that the account is
selected to symchronize and ActiveSync is remembering the filename and
password (if any) to allow it to sync too.

Try removing the data from the PPC by going to ActiveSync and selecting the
option there (take a copy of your main money file first) - you might want to
try this with the PPC undocked, and do a soft reset on the PPC first. Run a
repair on the Money file too. You may want to change the options in

Money for the Pocket PC is best installed in main memory, so if you've not

No, the money sync problem is still there. At the very beginning, I had
money 2002 for desktop and ppc with async 3.7.1. When I upgraded async to
3.8, I lost all my outlook info and money info on my ppc. I tried everything
to get it to work and it wouldn't work. I finally deleted async 3.8 and went
back to 3.7.1. Because of the 3.8 problems, I lost the money 2002 ppc
program and could not reinstall it. At this time I upgraded to money05.
Now, with money05 for desktop and money05 for ppc and async 3.7.1, I cannot
get it to sync.

So are you saying the problems have gone away? THe original post appeared to
imply it wouldn't synchronize. Have you enough memory space on the PPC, do
you get any messages in activesync? What schedule are you using for
synchronization? If 3.8 isn't working, then the reason for it not be
working could be related to the reason 2005 PPC isn't working, hence why I
suggested finding out what the problem with 3.8 was first.

I have already adressed them. I went back to activesync 3.7.1 which took
care of all my activesync problems. I am now back to async 3.7.1, money 2005
for pocket pc, money 2005 for the desktop, there are no traces (in my
registry or otherwise) of money 2002 for anything and activesync 3.8.

addressing them first as this could be picking something up that Money for

tried uninstalling and reinstalling 2005 on both the desktop and ppc several
times. I am about to rip my hair out! HELP!
